    Cheapest way to Garrett??

My VXR turbo went a while back, just wondering whats the cheapest option of putting a garrett on is, i know regal and courtenay do a kit for around 2k mark which has a cast manifold!

You could get a tubular manifold from LMF for £795
    Garrett for around £1k

Then theres oil, water and air pipes. Plus other things that need rerouting.

The cast garret kits are a good buy tbh for a fit and go kit.

or get a clet or 200sx tubular mani and weld on a zlet flange, price round £250
even so your still talking £2k all in imo but u can buy a plug and pay garrett from regal iirc, but that costs big time, lol

    courtenay do

    Cast Manifold - £499.00

    Complete Turbo Kit - £1785.00

Full Kit includes: Bespoke Garrett Turbo, Cast Manifold, Inlet Casting, Inlet Air Pipe, Full Radiused Exhaust Outlet Casting with Integral Wastegate and Lambda Sensor Boss, Modified Oil Drain Pipe and Modified Water Pipe Parts.

    Another question ive got is:

Turbo Dynamics do two options on the VXR turbo a stage one and two,

    Stage one looks like its just uprated with a 360 bearing, but stage two looks like its got a bigger compressor wheel and stuff, but it says;

Important Note: It is imperative that the fuel injection and ignition software is modified when fitting the MD496 turbocharger.
Failure to carry out this modification may cause severe engine and turbocharger damage. A twin ring modification is
not available for these units as it leaves the ringland in the bearing housing very thin and can encourage leakage due
to the piston ring seals not being aligned correctly.

Whst would i have to do to run this and how much better is it than their stage one?

    Cheers!

im going to be running a garret stage 2 t3 hybrid and 200sx manifold
I got a new 200sx mani from ebay for about £80 got the flanges made up and welded on for just under £100
picked up the turbo from turbo chris for £420 delivered
    so all in around £600
then theres fitting kit,oil feed, oil return, coolant lines and downpipe on top

LMF manifold is a Nortech one, youll more then likely be waiting forever for it unless they have them on the shelf off Jay.

200sx manifolds are ok, but the runners need heating up and moving a tiny bit. MX5 manifolds are best if i remember right.

GT28RS is what youd need James, wouldnt recommend a GT30 unless you do forged bottom end like im doing. GT28RS prob around £900.

Then you need boost pipes to accomdate, oil and water lines, inline oil restrictor...
