    ECN code...

Hi...could do with some help if possible
Exhaust emissions warning light came on earlier, first steady and then flashing, slowed the engine down and it steadied again...hoping I didn't do any damage. Did the pedal test and got 2 (poss 3 codes)..

    ECN030300
    ECN130000
ECN000000 (but being a bit naive to all this don't know if this one counts!!)

Rang Vauxhall dealership but they are closed until Tuesday now, tried Kwikfit but their diagnostics comp is out...any help would be a great one!!!

    Thanks

I think the 0303 code is the one that needs looking into which is that the engines detected a misfire on cylinder 3 which could be down to a number of things

1300 one relates to a empty fuel tank and as expected the last ones no faults present

Could the misfire on the cylinder explain the car juddering just as the light came on then? Have just under quarter of a tank left so suppose the other one would make sense Thanks!!

either spark plugs (cheap at a tenner or so)

or more likely the coil pack (basically the big electrical device that sits on top of all 4 spark plugs) - price wise for your Twinport Z16XEP £78.65 delivered

**only ever use genuine Delphi ones - cheaper ones simply arent worth the risk**

    link: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Ignit...item2ead4b624c

Vauxhall price is £121.00+VAT retail (or £91.16+VAT for those with access to trade club)

still a monumental saving for the exact same Delphi branded part.

You may want to replace the spark plugs first before jumping to conclusions.
