    Massive Bird Sh!t

Not my car in question, but as u can see in the pic, the bird must've had an acid shit or something straight from Sellafield.

I've used the following products to remove the mark, but to no success:

    Megs ScratchX
    Megs SwirlX
    Super Resin Polish
    Collonite 915
Obviously washed & snow foamed too.

Which means I now have an excuse to buy a nice orbital. However, will the orbital do what I want and remove that disgusting mark or will it be a respray job?

    Opinions?

A DA with a decent compound such as Fast Cut Plus should take that right out mate. Make sure you clay first before machining though as bonded contaminants can cause pigtailing.

I don't have that but I was going to use a DA with the Menzerna compounding pad along with Menzerna Super Finish. Snow foam, wash & clay beforehand, & Collonite afterwards.

    Cheers for the replies.

I got exactly the same type of bird sh1t stain on my car now

It was my fault, I hold my hands up.
I noticed it the other day when it was kind of 'fresh'.
I left it a couple of days and with the temps going up and down it seems to have etched its way into my paintwork.
After washing my car today no matter how hard I jetwashed it or rubbed it down with a mitt it just wouldn't shift!! After rubbing it vigorously for a bit with a cloth and some warm water some of my paint even got scratched off!!

What's the best way to remove this terrible stain by hand? (I have no machines).

Your help and advice will be much appreciated.

Get the Sonus Hand Polishing kit from cleanyourcar mate. Use the rough side of the german applicator and the cutting polish, along with a LOT of elbowgrease.

Thanks for your input once again, Gaz.

I’ve currently got one of these Handi-grip applicators for my polishing needs >> http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/access...r/prod_30.html

And I have an unopened bottle of Clearkote Vanilla Moose Wax Hand Glaze >> http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/pre-wa.../prod_119.html

Would the complete Sonus Hand Polish Bundle still be necessary, or could I just buy the SFX-1 Restore (for example) and use it with above products?

Your help and advice is much appreciated.

Forgot to reply to this... got it off!

Compound bad, Menzerna Power Finish ... sorted. (Tried less intensive pads & polishes but it was like pissing in the wind).

Now I can concentrate on polishing my own car this weekend.
