    Bit confused??

Just been given a Kenwood headunit for absolutely nothing and seen as my delco factory fitted headunit is pretty much dead it was a welcome gift.

Its a Kenwood KDC-7021 SE, i have had a look at the thread for stalk and display adapters for kenwood head units here http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=141549 and i can see that the Kenwood 7021 supports display and steering wheel controls, however there is no mention of it in the steering wheel controls ONLY.

Does this mean i need to get the more expensive lead for the display and stalk controls?

Also i assume the 7021SE is also compatible with these adapters like the 7021?

I am going to go out on a lim here and say that your headunit isn't compatiable with either steering controls or the display from looking at the diagrams

I read that too, and that's what i thought. just the KDC 7021 was listed as being compatible with the stalk and display and i couldn't see why the second edition of this headunit wasn't.

I read somewhere that you can use the CD-Changer 13pin connector to connect to the adapter but can't find the site again and still unsure.

Yes I see that now. I also see the remote is done via infared and I believe connects2 do a steering wheel control adaptor that works in that one

Give me a minute and i'll have a look

from what i can see it will work. Hopefully i will be able to use this with other head units too, saves buying more adaptors. If anyone can confirm also would be great,

    cheers

From what I read as long as the headunit has it's own remote control for programming it will work
