    Hiya Tom,and Southwestastra.
Ok so you pull it off, carefully,as not to bend it,
Its held on by two plastik rows of clips, (note:which sometimes comes out with the c strip)
which in turn is held on by little studs (look like small nail heads) these retain the two rows of clips via a push on fit over the studs, slide and secure,
The clips now in place on the boot lid,and not on the c strip,
then carefully clip the chrome strip on,
sometimes the clips get brocken, and it won't secure properly,
so either get new ones,or glue it back on with tiger glue(great stuff it is) but don't use too much so as to make a mess of the edging.
    I hope i have helped
    kindest Paula

Thanks Paula, i understand what you mean.
The problem i have is the little studs on the chrome strip dont reach far enough to push onto the clips in the boot.

Ill think ill have to end up gluing it on. :/
