What rough temp should the fan cut in??

I have a problem that I haven't heard my fan cut in on my car since I had it (2 months). What range is the fan normally supposed to kick in? My car isn't overheating but the temp gauge on;y ever goes to 95-96 degrees. Surely in the current weather I would have thought it would have kicked in. If my fan isn't working what is the best way to check??

That is about right, my fans kick in when the needle is a little way past 90.

Should be around 94 ish i believe...

You can test the fan by taking the connection off the fan switch which should be attached to the rad near the passenger side around fan area...
Then bridge the terminals with some kind of clip/ split pin and see if it starts up.

if it does then it may be the fan switch has packed up..

I will bridge the fan at lunch to see if it working. If it needs replacing is there just a switch you can buy or would it be the entire fan unit need replacing??
