    No more boost

My boost pressure is gone on my Z20LET. I got the same issue a while ago when I had it on the RR, it was a vacum tube with a small cut connected to the front BCS, but the tube seems to be fine this time. I got no fault codes or lights burning on my dashboard.. One thing that really suprises me is the small dump from the dv at 6K rpm..

Anyone got a clue what it could be ?

If your not producing any boost your not going to get much coming out of the dv. It sounds like another wastegate valve stuck open, give it a tap.

right, so I just got the message to refill the oil on my display... Anyway, I'll try to give the wastegate a tap.

If the turbo or BCS is gone, would I still be driving or get like a light burning on my dashboard?

Your turbo can be gone without a warning light on the dash! Mine just died, and all I got was that "check oil level" on the display. At that point, most of the oil was gone already...
In your case, I'd be very careful...

You're not getting any smoke from the exhaust?

Hmm, i've done this several times....
What the **** is wrong with these turbos?

Seems like every bloody part is failing.
Tapping on the actuator can not be good as its stuck sideways...

Glad u sorted it out i freaked out alot after fitting the VXR turbo and i noticed there was no boost at all.

This sounds exactly like what my car is doing, boost occasionally fine but when gets to approx 6000rpm it cuts boost and get a dodgy dump, and sometimes it wont even boost.

Im also getting the "Check oil" sign which is silly as it was serviced on the 11th of last month and the turbo is an uprated VXr unit thats only been on for 4 months or so i would seriously hope the turbos not gone.

When you say you "gave the waste gate a punch " what exactly do you mean, just hit the bit down that the actuator usually moves?

Right well ive just been out to have my first look into engine bay since this issue appeared yesterday, and it appears when the mechanic put the replacement cat section on yesterday he tightened the clip between the turbo and precat in a position that means the thread of said clip stops the actuator being able to move very far. So rang him and he is going to sort it.
