My rear brake pads have disappeared!!!

dunno where but just about on the metal already. fronts still have some meat on them.

    done about 18k since fitting.

front discs look fine from outside but the inner face is well worn and the grooves have just about dissapeared. there is a lip on the edge.

rear discs have a bit of wear on them with a lip and slight scoring but pads are gone.

i have mtec discs and ebc redstuff pads front and back.

does this seem a bit excessive for wear?

18k miles seems reasonable imo, all depends on your driving style and where you drive.

Well could be down to the quality of the brake material, although you say red stuff all round, different batches still etc. If your not feeling the back end move about under braking then it sounds like your brakes are set up correctly.

Sounds like there is too much brake bias on the rear. Rear pads should far outlast the fronts.
