    c-max problem

well weather was good on friday so I decided to take an early day from work, on the way hope the missus phoned and asked me to pick up some ice lollys and stuff for a bbq.

called into tesco and got a few bargains so was feeling quite chufffed with my self, was walking back to the car and spotted a pool under the engine. it was an oily liquid and wasnt sure where it was coming from only thing i was sure of was it was from my car.

so thought rather be safe than sorry so phoned the rac, it seems the pressure pipe to the power steering pump has failed. have got the car back to the dealer I bought if from and my problem is that it is 21 days out of warranty!!!

well they have lent me a car for the weekend and the service manager will be in on monday morning so I am expecting a large bill. only bought the car on 1st feb 2010!!!

just hope they will help me out a bit with the repair, have read that it seems to be a known fault on them!!

I'd try writing to Ford, if it's a known fault they might compensate you. You don't get if you dont ask

If it was only 21 days out of warrenty when it went then its definetly worth contacting ford about getting some goodwill payment towards that. The price you paid is slightly less than I thought, normally around £300..
