Your going to have to grab all the bits from a car with cruise control and manual throttle cable. This is going to be a old cavalier/ calibra/ vectra. Make sure you get part of the wirirng too so you can make up your own wiring harness

The AstraG CC unit is fitted behind the battery on the AstraG, but they are quite rare.

(Option on X18XE1 CDX), the chances of finding an SRI one are rare.

The Omega and VectraB use the same control unit, so finding one with a reasonable length cable will give some options for fitting location.

The Vectra and Omega 2.0 cables are medium length, Omega V6 very short, and vectra V6 very long.

    These two should help.

i have just done this on my X20XEV, brought the bits from Vauxhall performance spares over in Walton Essex.

Really easy job to do as well. swapped the cruise control switch in the car, swapped the brake switch from a two pin to a 4 pin, fitted the control box in the engine bay and it worked straight out of the box.

parts cost me £30, time to fit was an hour max

Can give you a list of part numbers if needed from Vauxhall but the control unit new is £300 + Vat alone

    Also trying to do it.
Vauxhall gave me 2 possible part numbers for the throttle cable.
    25312987 and 25319881
Could you confirm which is correct or if it makes no difference?
    Thanks

you should'nt need to replace the throttle cable?
its just an add on control unit which you bolt to the bulk head or down near the battery.
There is then acable from that which clips over the the throttle linkage with a C-clip.
Then just connet the multi plug in to the control unit and thats the under the bonnet bit done.

Yeh I mean the extra cable that you're referring to...not the original throttle cable.
I'm trying to find out the right part number for the cable going from the cc unit near the battery to the throttle linkage.
It needs to be the right length for my zafira-a x18xe1. I assume it would be the same for an astra-G with the cc unit in the same place by the battery??
