A number of problems since replacing gearbox.

i changed my gearbox a few weeks back and since the new ones been on. my engine management light comes on quite often aswell as my engine cutting out and the refrigiration light coming on as soon as it cuts out. when we fitted the gearbox we unhooked my catback system from the hinges so it was just hanging. iv had a diagnostic machine on and a fault code is coming back as some sort of flow mixture. i cant remember the exact code. could my eml and engine cutting out have something to do with my exhaust from when i fitted the gearbox?? also my exhauts has made a considerable chnange in sound and tone. it sort ov sounds like a scooby on idle. cars a 1.8 z18xe. thanks

sorry to sway off the subject here, but did you change the gearbox yourself?

got the problem sorted. turned out to be a loose airbox pipe leaking air tht caused the problms. so all is good.

i did it at ma dads garage. we dropped the subframe and got it out. it was abit tricky getting it out. putting the new one oin was a doddle which was weird. it took 5 hours take a donor gearbox out ma mates car. remove my gearbox and fit the new one.
