    Passenger seat release cable broken

Hi all, has anyone here replaced a seat release cable on the passenger side before, or is there a how too gudie kicking about.

Ive scanned everywhere for one on the net and cant seam to find anything.

im struggling at the moment as the cars a 3 door and trying to get a baby in and out with a rear passenger is a bit of a mare.

Vauxhall want about £120 to do this, which is quite alot for a £6 cable

No how2 but you need to remove the seat cover to change it.

I did my wifes one and it took about 3 hours to do.

Not sure if it would be covered in there though.

You probably could do it if you have done it before and you know where to unclip etc.

Well ive ordered the stuff up to do this job, I still have no guide to me but I did find some info on my TIS disc.

Parts are cheap enough though (well under £20)(If anyone needs part numbers let me know), and you have to buy a new release cover according to TIS as you break the old one when removing it. Maybe I will put together a HOW TO for here.

But if anyone does have some tips that would be useful, then please let me know.

Yeah ours broke when it was removed.

From what I remember you have to unlip some 'Pig rings' which are just rings of metal so some pointed plyers are usefull.
