Smile Z20 LET - Mikalor hose clips / oil catch tank + breather

    Hi Guys,

Before the Z20 LET gets fitted I am looking to replace the standard hose clips with uprated items (Maybe Mikalor?). I am just wondering what diameter clips / how many I will require to replace the ones on the intercooler / top hat pipe work? (The car is has got a VXR Turbo and Bastuck Hard pipe if that's any use?). I know people are going to say have a look and measure them, but I haven't got the engine yet and I'm getting all of the parts ready in advance.

Is it worth fitting an oil catch tank / breather filter? If so have you got any recommendations?

Finally I've seen a few people running the X20 XEV breather filter on the front breather pipe. Is this a good mod?

    Thanks in advance

    Mark

the mod on the front breather stops the crap building up in the metal pipe that goes to the sump which is an arse pain to clean and can cause probs if it gets cacked

I got an oil catch tank. Right pan in the back side as they fill with condensation , every month or two you gotta empt it. Itl be full of pee coloured oill water

Positive side though That gunk has not gone I to your engine I suppose and air intake to turbo. So I supposse it's worth having one really

And yeah the. Oil filter box thing is worth it to. , easier to clean blockages out as you do gt condensation in rocker it's natural , and water and oil ====== gunky cream

    Hope this pik helps

my catch tank is off eBay about 30 pound deliverd

Cool I had a catch tank fitted to my Honda Accord Type R and it took about 8-10 months to fill with the pee coloured oil water like you say.

I can see where the pipe from the rocker cover goes to the catch tank, but where does the other exit pipe go? Also do you have to plug anything up on the air intake pipe?

Finally do you have to clean the Oil Filter box every so often as well? Also did you get it from Vauxhall?

I have a load of Mikalor clamps in the shed I think.

Will have look and see what sizes I have.
