    1/4 mile questions..

Sorry if i sound like a complete anus here but as i have never done a 1/4 mile before i'm just wondering how it all works?

from watching other peoples vids you do a huge wheelspin before the line to 'warm up the tires' and then go at the light?? is it just that simple... i plan to try it at pvs so i dont wana make an a-s-s of myself going too early or too late

what time would i be looking at for an sri turbo with FMIC and cat back exhaust (standard map)???

has anynone on here ever stalled at the start of the 1/4 mile :P knowing me i will!

and who has blown something up at the start? the carts must take a pounding if your holding high revs then bangin the clutch in to get a good start... i never did that on my car so i wouldnt know how much the clutch or box would take

please feel free to post times regardless of the make and model and bhp as i'm just guaging how bad i'll be

Have a lookey here mate (first vid)

Edit: Cant see why you would stall, the only reason you stall is because the revs arent high enough, and yours should be quite high as you say yourself.
Service your car before to try avoid something happening, has your car got high mileage? If so it might tip it over the edge lol

    Its all about practise.

I found pulling away with lower revs and changing early into second got me my best times.

14.17 in my old coupe but that was still on 19's so would have gone quicker.
