    brake pad warning on MFD

Over the last week the brake pad warning has come up on the MFD. Initially it was every couple of days and now it is every journey.
I dont recall it being overly long ago I changed the pads but need to have a check how much is left on them. If it were one of the sensor wires broken, would the warning be on all the time? But as it came on every couple of days initially would this point to them actually needing to be replaced?
I have had a price of around £60-£70 for new pads and sensor wires from Vauxhall.

it could be a sensor wire that is broken, thats what was wrong with mine, in which case a sensor is only £10 to replace direct from vaux!

I just had a look at lunchtime. It seems the sensors may be showing, but there is loads of meat left on the pads so will keep an eye on them.

solder a link onto the end of the brake pad sensor if its snapped that will shut the MFD up and save some pennies
