    The dreaded induction kit

I currently have a K&N induction kit , but I know these can suffer with heat soak.
What is the best enclosed induction kit for sound/performance?
And which is best out of a Pipercross viper or venom?

Also, is there any peformance benefit over a standard box with a better panel filter?

Will vary from engine to engine. Some say induction kits work well on 8v engines as they don't get as hot. Whereas on a turbo'd engine, LET, LEH etc they are awful, as the turbo releases so much heat into the engine bay.

    What engine do you have?

    I have a 1.6 twinport (z16xep)
Does an enclosedinduction such as a viper still suffer with heatsoak then?

Do you do a lot of town driving?
I recently installed a Wolfrace cone filter and i dont have a bad thing to say about it.
Granted if ive been driving alone at 60 on a warm day, then hit traffic, it will pull off slowly sometimes. I can live with that though because when its sucking in hot air it sounds even louder than normal. And it isnt chav loud either.
But yea probably quite useless if you live in the city.

i have a viper kit on my 1.4 wouldn't say it made the car any quicker but if u punch the throttle it feels better and overall the car just feels smoother.....don't know how to explain it really but i wouldn't say its worth the huuuuge price tag for what it is lol
