Anyone got the link to had for the 4-stud to 5-stud conversion so I can find out a couple of things.....
Thanks in advance
shameless bump for this as the only one i can find wont load up
what do you guys need to know?
if its not in here then someone will know-
point to note though - all front driveshafts are the same on astra G so forget what he says about that little bit.
Basically a definative guide as to whats needed and some pictures etc but that's not vital.
never seen that guide before its a big help thanks
a breakers yard.
front -full setup (caliper carriers discs pads hub) basically un bolt the track rod, the strut and wishbone and whip it all off together.
rears - full setup (calipers, carriers, discs, pads, brake pipes to the load valve, handbrake cables)
cheers, i'm confident doing the front its just the rears that are causing the confusion
thats my issue too mark, i can work spanners no problem just didnt want to get stuck half way through.
Did you find a solution?
Its the rear brake pipe that has to be bent a little to fit.
I havent done the conversion yet, but I ended up getting the whole rear beam as that way you get everything you need. Its then a case of removing the rear brake flexi from the brake pipe and swapping over the beams. It also means that I can get everthing assembled and cleaned up in advance
with the rears there are two diffrent makes of calipers depedning upon model year engine etc im not sure on exact spec. so if you get under yours and have a good look at the rear brakes and then when you come to stripping the rear off the car with discs youl have an idea of what you need.
i know for one setup i didnt have to get diffrent brake pipes, i just reshaped my original ones to fit, however with anoter setup i had to go and order some brake flexis.
