    Taking headlights apart

    Is this easy, i want to smoke them but no idea what i'm doing yet as not got the car yet,

    i did this on a mk4 fiesta years back, is the astra easy too, cheers

    Put them in the oven to soften the black glue stuff and they then pull apart.

    Piece of piss! Put it in the oven on 80 degrees for 10 minutes, grab the headlight point end of the light and pull it, lifting the clips as you pull appart putting back togethers even easier

    i done it on friday but didnt wanna leave em in too long just incase they melted lol. easy to do just a pain pulling em apart

    Heat gun is the hard way, putting them in the oven will take ten minutes and the glue will be soft all round whilst a heat gun will take longer due to having to work round the headlight slowly to heat the glue up. I did mine 2 days ago so as long as you stick to the time and temp i meantioned above they will be fine

    The original glue will be fine, just put the headlight back together the best you can, put back in the oven for same time and temp then just push it back together and let it cool down

    As for removing stuff just take off the rubber surround and the rubber bulb surrounds, jobs a goodun hope this helps
