Hi, new member so here we go.
I have a Astra 1.7 cdti sxi 2004 mk5 90,000 miles on the clock, 15,000 in the past year since i bought it.
ad a few probs with burst hose on brake servo then the alternator/battery went, still woud not charge, found that replacement alternator was faulty. Car was off the road for a couple of weeks, when i got it running again I found that the engine management came on and I was losing power. Took it to vx dealer down the road they put it on computer and a egr fault was found. Getting pe'd of by this time as I had just spent a lot of money on a new alternator and battery. Bit the bullit and got them to fit a new egr valve, £391, put it back on computer and it's still showing egr fault, they now tell me that the swirl valve needs changed. When driving home the car had no power at all, way, way worse than it was when it went into vx. It also now has a whistling noise, like a turbo noise?
I assume it is now in limp mode, PLEASE HELP
