    CDL Brain and Auto re-lock

Does anyone know where the CDL brain on the mk5 is located? Sigma couldnt find it in their technical documentation,

also ive been told by my local alarm fitter that the astra has auto relock as standard.

Can someone try this out by unlocking the car but not opening the door. Mine relocks about 4-5mins later. I need to find out if its the alarm thats relocking the car or if its the car itself.

The alarm is a Sigma S32 and my car doesnt have an alarm as standard just the immobilizer.

Just found a post from Andy back in March.

says the CDL control unit is XE1 (horizontal part of the fusebox) - under the bonnet but also says if you have a REC the module is in there.

any clarification as to which one it might be?

It will be the car it's self unless you connected the blue/white and red/green wires

The CDL unit will be the whole REC unit or under bonnet module, XE1 will just be the connector the the wires are in

    right ok cheers andy

so if they need to connect wires to it then the best place will be the XE1?
Im suprised scorpian doesnt have this information in their database.

The alarm company who originally fitted my alarm royally screwed up and so its practically being re-fitted at my cost

XE1 is where the wiring comes out of the under bonnet module yes but it's not where i'd connect the wires as i'd test for them inside

Any good alarm company should be able to test for them and if your having to tell them what to do don't take your car there
