    breather hose problem

hi guys i was just changing my spark plugs and noticed that the small breather hose off the rocker cover has what looks like a small one way valve going to the rear of the throttle body, now this seems to have snapped in half.

what is this for an what problems will it cause me

When this happened to me it resulted in oil-drenched spark plugs and other oil spil in the engine comparment close to the hose.
You may also smell burning oil in the car.

If I where you I'd buy me a catch tank.

Just seen the picture, I though it was the hose next to it, just buy yourself a new oneway valve.
Nothing to worry about except the smell from oil fumes.

apparently vauxhall call it a VALVE, NON-RETURN, CRANKCASE VENTILATION but dont know the part number, apparenlty they are like £18 lol ppl are saying to just buy a standard one way valve and put that in instead....

part number is 90423045 for the one way valve.

Mine was broken for well over a year and i just put a pipe through it....not had any engine running problems in all this time. Only just bought one yesterday from vaux. Can't remember how much i paid for it as lost invoice.
    For free hugs PM me.

the arrow point toward the bulkhead not the cam cover as the air should only flow to the throttle body not back into the cam cover. if no arrow try blowing through it and then go from there
