    Dump valve info, please help

I've got a 2003 Astra GSI and I've been looking around the forum to get ideas for what my next mod is going to be. I've seen people mention quite a lot about dump valve's, mainly Bailey dump valve's.

What is the difference between the standard dump valve on the GSI and the Bailey one? and does it improve performance?

    Thanks

baileys is pap dv, best are collins or forge as both make the whoosh sound, baileys is more like a cat caught in a blender

block off OE dv to increase sound, also if wanted disconnect vax box and rear bcs

dump valvs are designed to balance boost pressure and keep the turbo spinning so spool up time, when you go up a gear or re-apply power, is shorter.

unfortunatly, atmospheric dv's (with a tish) dont suit the z20 engines (so im told), mine makes the engine feel jumpy and leaks if revs are kept constant at around 3000rpm.

a guy who tunes turbo'd vw's once told me the 'style' of engine suited recirculating valves (where pressure from the valve is fed back into the system), i have no idea why this is, i'm interested to know myself, anyone?

An atmospheric dv will sound good but might hinder drivability slightly.
