    what have i done wrong???

    please help me!!!!

    i took my steering wheel off to make it easier to fit some new bulbs to my dials.

    but when i put it all back together my AIRBAG LIGHT has stayed on!!!!!

    i followed the how to on here but what has went wrong and ow can i get this back off?

    One of two things happened, either you turned on the ignition with the wheel off, or the airbag is not connecting through the steering wheel squib.
    Either way, now the light is on the only way you can turn it off is via Tech2/OpCom.
    If it's the squib you will need to sort it out first though.

    whats the squib? as it would be that as i never turned on the ignition

    did you disconnect the battery before undertaking the work?

    The squib is the plastic unit behind the steering wheel...looks like a large hockey puck? lol sorry

    i had my wheel off to replace it and the same thing happened. came back on the tech 2 saying sumthing along the lines of squib has low resistance. basically its the grey bit of plastic behind the wheel that spins and makes the connection to the airbag etc. they wear in time. good chance it could be that! i had to replace mine

    never disconnected the battery, had a look and all is well under airbag

    you dont need to remove the wheel to replace the bulbs.............??

    You just need to carefully turn the clocks to get them out.
    Adjustable steering colunmn does help though.
