Mines that I Tested a spark plug with a multi meter... I ended up taking the full 40k volts down my right arm! Whilst my mate just sat in the driving seat laughing at me as im jumping and yelling, still with the key turned.

when i had a renault clio 1.8 16v i was waiting for my other half to finish work, i forget what i was checking for but anyway i took the water cap off having just turned the car off and how i never suffered an injury is beyond me the water pressure sent the water shooting up in the air about 15ft!!!

i was like "F**K it!! woooooooohhh"

    ok, here's my 2p's

back in the day, with my MK4 Escort, decided to change the back box myself....all was ok, but te sleave fit wasn't quite right and blowing a lil bit. So I jack it up, place on axle stands, go to turn the engine over so i can see where its blowing....as you do.....

Of course I did remember to take it out gear first didn't I?........the whole car lurches forward, comes off the axle stand and impails brake drum first into the tarmac......I have never sh*t my self so much as I did on that day.

    EPIC FAIL!

Iv very nearly done the same sort of thing as above lol putting new backbox on so had back wheels on ramps and put it in reverse. Too excited to hear how it sounded I forgot to take it out of gear went straight for the keys, whole car jumped backwards and luckily the ramps slid aswel other wise ramps would have mashed side skirts up and made a nice mess lol

took my old fiesta round to my uncles to work out why i had no rev counter, temp gauge or brake lights, took the dash out and placed outside under the car so it wouldn't get kicked. a while later the car needed pushing back as it was in the way, completely forgeting the dash i rolled over it....ooops. smashed it into a few hundred pieces.

Another good one iv done is while doing an oil change just putting new oil in was too busy checking that I had put sump plug on tight enough so there are no leaks ( while pouring the oil into a funnel into engine) noticed loads of oil coming from engine. Thought I hadn't put nut in tight enough until I look up and notice funnnel overflowing and about 2L of oil going down front of the engine lol oil all over engine, floor and my brand new shoes that I forgot to change lol

Snapped the clip on the end of the fuel line changing a fuel filter. Was pissing petrol all over the place and cost over £150 to fix. My service schedule doesn't involve fuel filters now...

Topped up my coolant in my old audi, then went off to work when i was on the motorway the temp gauge started moving up and down like mad wondered what the hell is going on, kept on going slowly til i got to a service station, turned out i forgot to put the cap back on and the water evaporated and the car had no coolant at all lol
