    ABS or no ABS ????????

    how can you tell if your mk4 astra has ABS?????

    i own a 2003 sxi 1.6 16v 3 door is there some way to tell?

    brake hard, if the pedal judders but doesnt skid then you have abs...

    Alternatively there should be plugs visible on both front hubs...
    N.b. any opinitons expressed above should be ignored and considered 'ramblings', under no circumstances should they be relied upon...

    When you first switch the ignition on the ABS light should come on then go off.

    ok checked the hubs only the passanger side has a plug leading to the hub. but is that not the speedo plug sensor cheers

    I'd say so

    Another visual check you can do is look under the bonnet below the relay box. You'll see the power steering there and on cars with ABS there will be the control unit there aswell
