    poor fuel comsumption astra 1.9cdti 2007

    i had a problem emissions light stayed on looked on here and found that cleaning EGR valve cleared the light which i did. but now the fuel comsumption is horrible doing around 22mpg anybody got any ideas? thanks for any help.
    my car is a 2007 astra twintop design 19cdti

    on another twist the mileage has gone up took car to work said i had 112 miles left drove there and back bout 12miles now it says ive got 159 miles left any ideas could the ecu need resetting? thanks if any body could help me with this!!!!

    If you drive more economically, the mileage will go up, the estimated mileage is based on how you are driving the car. After starting, the engine is using more fuel to warm up, after it warms up and you been driving conservatively, the expected mileage will increase, this is totally normal.

    thanks for reply but when engine is hot it drinks fuel this carnt be normal any ideas?
