Most people on here seem to use Vauxhall 10-40 semi.

Becoming a full member on here gives you access to Vauxhall Trade Club and you can get 20lts of semi and 4 oil filters for ~£40.

~£10 for a full oil change... means you can afford to do this every 3,000 miles.

That is what I do, and I am very happy.

thanks for reply, i heard 10/40 semi was a bit thick for these engines, cant remember where i heard that tho. Im a mechanic but new to these engines & get vauxhall trade prices. So do you think 5/30 fully syn is too thin then? Or would it b o.k?

I looked through my service book and it used to be 5/30 for about the first 30k and the last 30k its been run on 10/40 semi, I asked my mate who's a Tech at Honda and used to have one of these and he said 10/40semi, I just went with his word.

I spoke to Vauxhall directly who told me it should be 5w30 but mine up until the latest service appeared to have always been 10w40 (Hence my asking Vauxhall about it directly). Some people seem to differ to opinion but I would say the most common opinion appears to be for the 10w40!
