    Ripoff quotes!!

    Some basic details:
26yr old male with 5 ncb and a licence so clean u can eat beans off it!
additional driver with clean licence over 30yrs.
    previous quote £1000 fully comp

    The car in question:
52 astra coupe turbo, standard, worth approx £3000

The cheapest renewal quote now is £1150 fully comp. Surely these figures cant be correct! What is wrong with these companies these days?

Personally i think insurance companies need to re-evaluate who and what they charge.

So far have only looked on confuseyou.com and really dont see much changing there. Anyone have any recomendations.

I generally use the compare websites as a rough guide, and contact the cheapest companies direct to get more accurate and normally much cheap quote. Also never hearts barginning down quotes to you can get the cheapest.
Have you tried Adrian Flux at all?

You don't mention the area you live in. Postcode is a huge rating factor, a friends insurance doubled when he moved from his parents leafy suburb into the city.

Insurance companies tend to rate the risk when quoting a premium. If they are "rip off" quotes then dont take them up.
