    Front end leak..

    Hi,

I seem to have a leak from the radiator or associated area. Only noticed it this morning, bug when I got to work, parked up as usual, went out to get to get something from car and noticed a puddle and a 1 to 5 sec drip. Went out a bit later, no drips, started the engine and ran it for a bit, no drips, opened the bonnet, couldn't see anything blatant or obvious..

I did notice this morning as soon as I started the engine from first thing, a graunchy sound which soon died down after a few minutes. I've already replaced the waterpump within the last year, so may not be that, but I dunno..

    Any ideas?

Apart from it's an x reg and it's a 1.6 16v, I haven't a clue on more stats. Yeah losing water but not while running, only after. At lunch I opened the bonnet, ran the engine for 5 to 10 mins and no leak, but after coming back from a walk an hour later, another puddle and was dripping..

Apart from one sign of possible damage to radiator but no signs of coolant around the area, I can't see where it's coming from, although from what I can see, the dripping is coming off the left side of the radiator (looking into the engine) and there's s red valve on that part..

Not used air-con as not had it charged up all the time I've had the car..
