    clutch failure need help diagnosis

    hi all,
new to forum but have been reading your great advice to each other.
    i've a 2005 astra club cdti 1.7 diesel with 120,000mi on it.
my clutch/clutch pedal completely failed yesterday. no tension in the pedal. fluids fine. no apparent cable break. stuck in neutral.
had the gear box replaced last nov. could it be a faulty intervention by garage?
need help with an clutch (drive) system diagram (downloaded something absolutely useless from online manuals) if anyone has something.
thanks so much for your help.

Without taking the gearbox off your not really going to know whats happened.

Thanks - I figured that out. Looks like the clutch and slave cylinder is gone. Clutch filled with oil. What is the average price for used clutch these days? And is my clutch o/s or n/s?

you all are amazing. thanks for the ongoing feedback.
here is the next one. i'm in france. my french mechanic has told me i need a 'butee du embrayage' and the 'embrayage'. embrayage is clutch. but what is 'butee du embrayage' ? he said also something about the receptor or receiver. so this could either be 'hydraulic clutch receiver' or something else. my english friend mechanic who looked at without taking out the gear box said my clutch is definitely out and i need full kit (pressure plate, bearing, and clutch plate) and the hydraulics 'on and in' the gear box. is this the clutch slave cylinder? or is it the 'hydraulic clutch bearing'? i'm looking for parts in england to have a friend drive them out (half price vs. france) and need to make sure i'm asking for the right thing.
    ever so much obliged.

Yeah slave cylinder and clutch kit as these use concentric slave cylinders which include the bearing within.
