Guess what, he's gone and brought a saxo VTR. Before he has a 1.0 fiesta and he liked my car he thought it was pretty quick and looked great, now he's had his vtr 1 day and he wants a race coz he thinks its quicker than my astra lol, great i'll be sure to see him down halfords every night now

Fact is though mate a Saxo VTR will be quicker up to about 60mph. Pre 2000 saxo VTR's with blacktop/silvertop single plug ecu engines engines have 90bhp and silvertop 3 plug have 98bhp. They only weigh the best part of 850-900kg.

his is a 2000 X plate, has 100BHP i think and does 0-60 in 9.1 seconds according to parkers... my astra does 0-60 in 8.5, plus i prooved it not long ago anyway just to put him in his place

On the subject of saxo vs astra we seen one today on the motorway from falkirk - Edinburgh, a wee saxo vtr chasing a silver astra coupe.

Maybe someone on here but the astra driver kept braking, i assume to let the saxo catch up. 90bhp....love to see what a z20 let could pull out on it over 1/4 mile

those chaxos are pretty nippy and would screw most astras (non turbo pervs) on the bendy bits unless driven by a pleb

should get him on a straight i suppose

They are prone to cocking a rear wheel under heavy turning, seen someone lose control due to the rear end lifting mid corner, this was at the crail tarmac rally of course but made some viewing all the same
