Anyone else having a pre PVS CYC binge?

I've never been one who's big into detailing but seeing as the bodywork on my car is almost done now i thought i'd treat it.

I've been looking on CYC for a few bits and bobs and thrown some things in my basket. Here's what i've got so far:

    • Dodo Juice - Lime Prime Lite 500ml
    • Eurow - Shag Pile Double Density Towels
    • Collinite No. 476S - Super Doublecoat Auto Wax
    • Poorboys Wheel Sealant
    • Trim & Tyre Dressing Applicator
    • Gliptone Liquid Leather Cleaner
I was going for the poorboys tyre dressing also but they're out of stock foe the time being.

Anyone got any other suggestions of things that may be of some use?

I already have the Gliptone conditioner, snowfoam + lance, NXT wash, clay, and my wheels will be fresh from the powdercoaters so i'll just wash them and add the sealant.

When I was doing my pre-Duxford wash last weekend, I surprised at how low my stocks had become... not so much on polishes and wax (got a fresh pot of 476s a couple of months back), but I'm out of shampoo, decent QD, wheel cleaner, bit low on cloths too.

You can't really go wrong with the Collinite, it's great stuff. What about some 303 Aerospace for your black trim bits? A gallon of Megs Last Touch tends to be a popular choice for QD

Cheers Gaz, I was hoping you would pop along and offer some wisdom.

I had considered the Orange Crush as I have read that the Dodo Juice cleaners and waxes are designed to compliment each other. The only reason i picked the Collinite is the durability. I was hoping it would last ages so i didn't have to do a full wax every time.

If the orange Crush is what you recommend though i'll happily swap it, after all you ARE the Guru!

I haven't bought anything yet as there are a few things out of stock so i'll swap the wax and i'll add some Megs tyre gel in my basket too.

    Cheers Guys

Build up about 5 thin coats of the orange crush mate and you'll get plenty of durability and a nice deep gloss. The colly will give you hardcore protection but quite a flat gloss.

Sorry Gaz, i went for the collinite in the end. Purely down to price. If i wasn't getting so much one one go then i might have opted for the Orange Crush, but i spent about £106

Here's a money saving tip, if it's a big spend and you want some dodo, but will put you over budget, get a panel pot, will do the car 2-3 times, then you can get the big pot later
