    mk 4 gsi turbo alarm going off for no reason

    i have a problem with my alarm on my gsi turbo it goes off for no reason and its doing my head in can go off 3 4 times in one nite.

    can any one shed any light on this please and help me out ?

    Power sounders can be a issue with these cars but then there are other things that could be causing it

    Try disabling the internal sensors and see how you get on for a night

    how do i disable the internal sensors ?

    that the 2 lights buttons that you press to put the light on ? do i put the key in the ignition or not ?

    Turn car off and remove the key
    Press both buttons on the map reading light
    Shut door
    Press the alarm button.
