    MOT question

    is it true that my spare wheel needs to be the same size as my normal wheels? If so, where can i get a 17'steel??

    No spare isnt testable,only the wheels on the same axle have to be the same size

    dont bother taking the spare? im pretty sure you dont need the spare to pass so if your worried just dont take it

    Even if the spare is present and a different size and bald it won't matter. As mentioned above the spare isn't a testable item

    i thought it was testable if it was present, but if not it didnt matter? i guess some garages are more anal than others

    if you car has a spare wheel in it, it wont affect if you fail the MOT.
    Like said above, the spare wheel is NOT part of the MOT and should not be a reason for failure.
    If you do have one, they may check it to see that it is road legal etc, but thats all!

    its suposed to be useable right tread and inflated but doesnt have to be ther or same size thats how they get away with space savers im sure my zaf gsi has a 15" spare if you get a puncture on the front it wont fit so you have to put it on the back and move the back to the front new cars come with repair gel in a can pants if you tear a tyre
