Just had my Astra Coupe Convertible serviced at the local Vauxhall dealer (Gulp!) and asked them to run the tech tests on it for me (cost £42.00 double Gulp!) because I have been having trouble with TC and ABS lights since the bad weather and a flat battery in the winter. The ABS light comes on now and again but the TC rarely goes off (usually when the weather has been dry for a couple of days).
Vauxhall say they have no idea what is wrong with the electrics but it will "cost a lot" for them to find out and repair (okay, so I am female and blonde).
THE ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTIC CHECK REPORTED FAULT CODES OF:-
U2104 = present can bus reset counter over run;
U2018 = present can bus no communication with ABS/TC;
P0500 = non present mass or volume air flow circuit low input;
CHECKED ESP WITH TECH 2
U2105 = present can bus no communication with engine control module;
U2143 - present no communication with steering angle sensor;
C0252 = non present ESP sensors-signals range performance.
It means nothing to me, and obviously nothing to the service department at Vauxhall apart from (sudden intake of breath and shake of head) It's going to cost a lot!
Does anyone know an independent specialist in or around Peterborough/East midlands/Sheffield area please? Will travel, I just want to get it sorted.
