anyone modefied front gearbox mount on y20 dth

well im sure if you own an astra diesel you will know the front gearbox mount always tears and im not suprise seeing how thin the rubber is. my question has anyone modded their mount i was thinking about filling a new one with sikofex liquid rubber and filling the mount , question would this cause mor trouble excess vibration

This mount is ment to be like that... I took mine into vauxhall the other week cause my garaged failed the mot on it and they said its ment to be like that its not a mount as such its absorbes... But the one they took from the shelf was the same state as the one that was on the car..

well heres a pic of a brand new one to gauge some idea what it "should" look like

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/VAUXHALL-ASTRA...item2306c6c30c

as with all front gb mountings i would always try and improve on it

in this case due to the design of it then sikaflex, tigerseal or equivalent would be top of the bill for me
