dont know how handy these are to get off but possibly an impact wrench?

Failing that its a good socket set and lots of brute force with a dash of ignorance

mines the opposite, i dont have the bolt and mine used to just pop off from time to time.

Does it just pull up? Vaguely remember the bolt dosent hold it on, it just holds the bit this slides onto, then a clip holds them together.

wont pull up as its siezed iv took the clip of but it wont budge, it makes it harder as the bolt has snapped off from the gearbox end so it flops about when trying to hit it

would it not be easier just replacing the linkage since it's out?
