Seas Lotus reference, will it fit? (& JVC steering wheel controls)

I'm exchanging my '98 mk4 combi with a '01 coupe, and I need new speakers. I'm considering the Seas Lotus reference set, but I'm a bit worried about getting the 16.5cm midrange to fit, since it's pretty huge. Got burned by size when I tried to fit a couple of big emphasers in my current car.

    Will this fit?

Oh, and - one more thing - how many liters does the door contain on a normal Astra Coupe? And is there any guide around for sound-dampening the doors?

You will need to make up an MDF speaker mount/spacer ring, but they should fit OK.
Sorry, can't help with the volume.
    How to install Dynamat.

Any suggestions for hiding away the high/lowpass filters, and running the cables? I'd like to avoid putting them outside the moisture barrier in the doors. What should I do about the moisture barrier when noise dampening the doors?

(The Seas Lotus reference kit comes with seperate high/lowpass filters.)

It's a pricy component set at 550£, but paying extra for good sound quality is worth it.

There is a polystyrene block behind the armrest on the doorcard, most people remove it & screw/stick the crossovers to the inner skin inside the moisture barrier.

I removed the plastic sheet in mine, then sealed all the openings with Dynamat Xtreme.

Depending on what spec car you have, you might be able to drill out some of the unused pin positions in the door connectors & run cable through there. Failing tat, you will have to drill the door, then feed the cable through the grommet & into the door.
I've done that on my car for my phone kit. I've mounted the Parrot display on the mirror back panel.

Yay! The deal went through, and at midnigth I paid for the Coupe - the dealership even allowed me to do trade-in my old '98 Astra for 4400£

(Proper machine polishing, and the fact that my mom bought a '10 Astra Estate might have helped in getting some goodwill from the dealership tho.)

And now I remembered that I need a steering wheel control adapter for my JVC KD-R801

    Would this one(ebay link) work?

You will also need the JVC specific adaptor that plugs into the adaptor lead.

You will need to specify the JVC lead.
