    my simple instal.

hi all,had my simple but quality install done this week,jl c5-650 components up front,jl c5-650 coxials in the rear, one jl 300/4v2 amp too run them, one jl 500/1v2 amp running the mighty jl 10w7,all jl wiring connectors and fuse holders ect, most will know how much dynamating i have done, the guy's fully dynamated the roof for me and fitted a new arial base (as mine was looking shabby around the base),the only bit of dynamating i did not do my self..ditched the spare wheel for weight saving, and trimed the space for a cubby hole.decided too go simple in the end as it will be very easy too put back to standard if i sell the car, plus i aint showing it any how..

ooh my god!!it sounds amazing!!!!!!! when the guys went through it with me i was just sat there in disbelief,it is so tight and punchy with crystal clear sound at any volume,i am soooo happy with it all.from start too finish it has cost me about £3200 but you get what you pay for ahh...i love it.

Why have you got 2 inline fuses? Why not just one length of 0AWG to a dizzy block at the rear with only one fuse up front?

thats what the guy's decided too do i spose,is there any advantages by doing it that way,as i'm sure there aint a downside to using seperate feeds to each amp...is that all you could think of saying..

the advantages is they can can charge you for two lots of gear when you don't need it. Just seems pointless to me.

Other than that, it looks tidy

Nice, neat install. Glad you're happy with the sound, money well spent.

Think it's because JL don't do fused distribution blocks.
Personally I'd have run a 1/0 feed to the rear & fitted two fuses at the rear, I would find it more convenient that way.

What about a fuse near the battery? I thought there had to be one within 6 inches of the battery.

Not trying to cause an arguement, just wondering why you haven't said so mate.

There would still be a master fuse up front, should have made that clear

Jl audio do not have fused distrubution blocks for the rear as they do not believe in them. They reckon that is why you have a fuse on the amp, Nice! not. I do not agree with them on this and they are alone in this thinking. But hey ho.

I too would have run 1/0 guage and probably used a another make fused distrubution block in the rear. Still looks tidy enough and nice to see corrugated tubing actually used rather then just the wire.
