    oil leak i think its from crank seal any help plz

    as above i notaced a leak and when i examanded it it looks like its from the crank seal but im not sure can anyone help plzzzz
    vxr turbo, FMIC, TX tophat and powerpipe and remap from noblemotersport. 271.5 bhp and 331 lbft. http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/sh...d.php?t=332537

    i thought ours was leaking and it turned out to be the gasket between the block and the breather pipe... worth looking at, as to do the rear seal is a big job

    Sorry to post on an old topic.

    Dazal, did you have a slight puddle forming at the front of the bell housing but no trail as such?

    Hmmm... in all honesty i cant remember m8.....wot i tend to do to find the leaks tho is get some brake cleaner , soak the area so all the oil runs off, then blow dry with an airline if you have one....then run the car and observe ....
