    Hesitates when warmed up?

Right i know cold air is more dense and engines respond better to cool air.

However when my car is first started it pulls right through the gears without skipping a beat and is so smooth it's great. Then once it reaches normal operating temp it tends to hesitate around 2500 to 3200 revs then takes off again.

I'm just wondering is there like an engine temp sensor or something that could be knackered? Surely if it can pull well when it's cold it's capable of doing it when warmed up?

I have a forge dv and today i hooked up the oe valve too so they're both running. Also have a diesel airbox and cat back with precat decat.

Would be great if i could get this fixed.

How many miles has the car done, if the turbos getting old could be cracked around the wastegate?

You would know without taking the turbo/manifold off really! Quite common tho, i would have said cone filter etc, but seeing as you dont have one im guessing that, also check your pipework and makesure theres no leaks! As if there was when the engine is hot it would start sucking in hot air from the engine bay and cause this!

I've had a look for leaks already but i'll have another look.

Gonna clean the maf and might try a new front bcs.

Just out of interest, can the front bcs be bypassed?

similar problem solved on my non turbo 1.8, turned out to be a lazy pre cat o2 sensor, replaced and all is well plus my fuel economy increased by 4mpg...
N.b. any opinitons expressed above should be ignored and considered 'ramblings', under no circumstances should they be relied upon...

Thanks guys. By the sounds of it there could be many answers to my problem.

Got another front bcs on the way. Will try that first and see what happens.

My mate said his impreza had the same problem as me and his was the o2 sensor as well so i'll try that if the bcs does nothing.

Your cars not a scooby though

Id put money on map sensor. I replaced front and rear bcs and maf sensor and no different. I put my old map sensor on and it was spot on.
