    Vibrating steering wheel

Hey, yesterday on a 'private road' i was doing 85mph and the steering wheel started to vibrate a little (Hasn't previously, or i just didn't notice) so i slowed down to 80 and it stopped,

    any ideas?

You need the balencing redone on the front 2 wheels. that will sort the problem out.

because doing 85 on public roads would be illegal

If balancing doesn't help, swap the front with the backs. Could be a mis-shapen tyre.
