Anyone know anything about franchises or where to ask?

Anyone here know, or know where to ask, about franchise opportunities?

I'm aware of a brand, rather small at present, but in a very popular and continuously growing marketplace, and I they have recently been looking for franchisee's (if this is a word lol!). I have the details on the initial financial input and what you get for this, I know quite a bit about the products they sell, but have no clue on what the usual costs are for these things, if the brand/company is worthy etc etc.

Any thoughts on where to look for further advice is welcome!

I supose its what they offer you depends on how much they are. I have just bought one and paid x amount but what I got and will get of them in regards to marketing etc is worth every penny if not more.

It will certainly help if you have a good understanding of what the product is. They should offer you a cash flow plan and there plans or objectives for you and realy its up to you do your own as well with a bit of market research to see if the figures are reasonable and achievable.

I don't think there is any formula as such for a franchise it is like setting a business from scratch except your intail outlay is to them and not yourself buying everything to start the business.

If its a good deal you should get everything to get you started from day one. Everything from tools, stock to stationary and there marketing input.

Don't if that is much help but I had a go.
I would wright something funny and clever but does anyone read these anyway

Bye bye VXR Castle Combe Edition - because it's done more laps of Castle Combe than most Bergs have of the Ring

The 'brand' is a very popular physical and online store selling everything related to planted aquariums except for livestock, so plants, substrate, aquariums, hardscape (wood, rock etc), fertilisers, CO2 equipment etc etc.

I've debated my own business a few times over the past 8-10 years, but never considered a franchise. This brand started to look for franchisee's a few months ago and it piqued my interest enough to ask for more information from them. The area they specialise in is ever growing and becoming more and more mainstream (for example Sky1 have some aquascaping in a few weeks on Liza and Huey's Pet thingummy bob) and I have wondered on the same area, came close to starting something about 3 years ago but got carried away with family life.
