Thumbs Down Where does my missus stand on this?

My fiance bought 5 bridesmaids dresses off lightinthebox.com after it being reccomended to us by my sister. As of yet the dresses haven't arrived and we have tried contacting them 4 times via there online help centre and through emails, but have heard nothing back.

She payed for it on her Asda Credit Card so am i right in thinking if they never arrive she will get a refund from the credit card company?
    For free hugs PM me.

They don't have a telephone number, its a Chinese wholesale site. Only way of contacting them seems to be through the net. Even added them on facebook and posted on that then had a read through some other posts and it seems we arent the first to have issues with this company.

Don't know what effect that will have as they are in China. But will look into it nonetheless.

my mum had a similar problem.

She wanted an tailour made wedding dress and found a company on ebay (based in america). gave all the details and communication with the ebay seller was fine. dress normally takes 8 weeks to make ect.... but my mum didnt need it for about 4 months, was told not a problem.

2 months before the wedding my mum couldnt get in touch after sending several emails. if memory serves me correctly, she got in tough with trading standards and also trading standards of the state the company was which i believe was calafornia and im pretty sure she got her refund.

she let ebay and her credit card company know the situation and advised them she had been in touch with trading standards and i think after that they backed down.

if you can get some sort of advise and back up from trading standards, you maybe able to throw that in Asda Credit Cards face - as they should refund you and chase this company for the debt

trading standards will have no binding effect in china.

Its called connected lender liability, have a read of section75 of the consumer credit act (as well as section 12b and c). If you can't get hold of a copy, PM me your email and i shall send you a pdf to quote from should the credit card company drag their heels.
