HELP! best bk999 offset and tyre size

    hi all,

i no this question has been asked a million times before but i really am getting confused on the amount of different ansers people are giving...

first of all i have a 1.8 astra coupe 2003 plate on standard suspension and i am looking at putting bk999 alloys on it.
i need to know what the best/correct offset of the 18" bk999 wheel is for my coupe and what is the correct tyre size as everyone says the best is 215/35r18 but all the dealers and ebay sell them with 225 tires?

    really am confused

any help would be really appreciated

    many thanks
    shaun

Sorry I can't really help with the offset but the correct tyre size is 215/35R18 as the 225's will rub unless you have arch mods.

i prefer the rims to stick out so would opt for anything between 25-35

i would probs even fit spacers too which effectively brings them down to around ET10-20

For most ppl though, a safe offset would be anything from 38-45 and this would enable the car to be slammed on its arse yet avoid any rubbing and still keep the face of the wheel roughly in line with that of the sides of the car/arches.

215.35.18 is the proven size for 18s on a Mk4 although the cab/coupe arches are more forgiving so fitting bigger rubber isnt too much of an issue providing u dont go stupid!

215.35.18, is what most ppl opt for though.

Even if a seller doesnt list this size in their listings, just ask them to fit another size - it wont make any difference to them - its still a sale at the end of the day.

i just purchased a set of bk999 with 215 tyres from bk themselves for a well good price, the only thing is there ET42 so im going to get 10mm spacers to bring them down to ET32 for that little bit of stick out

Thought ET42 8J was the only size they made them in? Not seen any others.
