I'm finally nailing down my 2.5 years of random boxing training into a martial art.
The aim is to be good enough to hold my own in Thailand in November when I spend a week training there. I started last week preparing myself for Todays lesson.
So I am starting of with Muay Thai for the striking and conditioning. I'm not going to start competing but will definitely take part in sparring.
If the trainer says I'm crap, I'll leave and wont go Thailand.
If I become good over the next few months after Thailand I am going to branch into BJJ.
My prep work was mad, was hurting most of last week.
I have to say I absolutely love kettle bells now though, its like where have they been my entire life?
I am 94KG which puts me at the bottom of the heavyweights. Loose 1kg and I'll be a top Light Heavyweight.
Not sure what to expect but my trainer is well respected and has been doing it for 15 years!
