    Oil/Water from exhaust pipe. help

Hi I have a 2001 bertone coupe and i'm getting a water residue coming from the tailpipe. Although it is black in colour I'm unsure as to whether it is oil or just mixing with the soot in the pipe. Anybody have any suggestions as to what this might be or how to fix.

Is it doing this when cold? If so it's probably just condensation which is totaly normal, it's probably black as it's mixing with the carbon depoisits left by the exhaust

I have the same problem with my z20let. I think it's not normal. Lots of condensation comes out from the exhaust and it's totaly black. It paints the floor or the wall behind the car...

I get a slight bit of water from the exhaust on startup after it has been sitting for a few days. this is normal but if you think you have a hgf then check your coolant levels

My coolant level is ok. MAybe the condensation which is coming from the exhaust is not too much, just it's very conspicouos because it's black.

Carbon build up in the exhaust will be causing water to be black. just soot

is this hapening wen engine is cold? this would explain the water as the hot exhaust gases are condensating on the cold exhaust making water. give it a shot down the motorway and get the exhaust nice and hot.
    should solve the problem.
