Oil leak update - from uv joint?

A couple of days ago i put a thread on here about a leak from my passenger side drveshaft... well, its not the drive shaft. its the track rod bar that is nearest to the wishbone; it the bar with the gaiter that enters the 'engine' compartment and goes somewhere?? lol i'm not a car teccy person.
Anyway i had my cousin have a look at it and the oil is definitely coming from that gaiter and he seem to think there is a UV joint in there somewhere.
can anyone confirm this and offer an idea of how to fix? are there any technical diagrams anywhere too??
here is a pic of what i'm going on about....

where does the oil come from - would it be power steering fluid?

it will prbably be a split bellow on the rack. do not let it run dry or you will be looking at a new rack and they are an expensive thing and a big job to replace

    Pretty bad,
    What car is yours please?
i have a good spare steering rack, complete with new track rod ends, also a power steering pump, gen 2 suited to most mk4 astras

You maybe already have syptoms like the steering a little stiff and jerky, ie low on steering fluid, if you lose too much fluid the pump will be
pushing air through the system, and eventually the steering will fail to be power assisted, although you wil still have some steering,
For now purchase the correct p/s fluid (there is the green and the red) go to vx dealers and get a litre, and keep topping the pump reservoir up to the correct level,
it should at least keep your car on the road,
but it needs to be looked at very soon for safety's sake

its an astra coupe .2.2 51reg. An update anyway... i've looked at the resovoir and its still topped to max (!?) and there are no visual signs of leaks in the engine bay. i've cleaned off the oil and await to see if it reappears. its confused me even more!

Hi you have deffo got a leak, but if your resovoir is nearly full, it must be a small one that will get worse.
    Now that you've cleaned
it up can you sqeeze any fluid from the boot?,
    anyway time will tell
