Struggling on installing wires - Help :)

Trying to wire my sub and amp but the suggested "bonnet cable hole" is proving a bit of a challenge.

    Any tips?

Also, trying to get the glove box out is also proving to be a challenge. The screws are ok but every screw driver i use on them just don't work?!

Do i just keep trying to find other screw drivers :s

    Thanks for any help

there is a gromet on the driver side, but I think depending on the model/engine you got it may be used.

When I had my mk4 I drilled a hole just behind the glove box, but thats once you get it out

You need a T20 Torx bit to take out the screws on the glovebox, should be commonly available from any tool shop or motor factors.
Get yourself one, as they are used everywhere on the Astra.

i couldnt find a gromit clip any where on my astra. so i did the weridest thing i ran the power cable through the passanger side door and up past the wing mirror... if that helps..

just a big enough gap for it 2 fit to.

That's a dangerous thing to do. It you ever have an accident & the wing gets hit/crushed you may get the cable trapped/cut causing it to short out. If you don't have it properly fused at the battery you may well havea fire.

Details of how to find the proper grommet & pics are in this thread.

Though most wiring kits come with the correct rated fuse and is wired close to the battery so a fire would be unlikely. If you cant go through the driver side grommet just drill a hole on the passenger side instead.

Not the first time I've seen them fitted with the fuse in the boot "Because it looks good & I want to show it off!".
