What car are the seats from, is it a Mk4 Astra?
Do you have the wiring loom/plugs under the centre console for the heated seats?
Personally, I wouldn't advise using the cigarette lighter feed, you would be better to tap off the main feed to the fusebox, as the seats will draw a fair bit of current when trhey are switched on.
I'll try to post a wiring diagram later when I'm at my PC at home.

hi buddy, i retro fitted heated pads into the cloth seats in my mk 4 cdx, the loom was there behind the centre console for the switches but no loom under the seats for the pads, i got a set of heated pads from an old omega, 2 astra mk 4 heated seat switches with the plastic trim with holes for them, got 2 relays and wired them to the switches and took a feed from a heavy live behind the glovebox to work the pads. works a treat, only thing is the pads only work on a simple on / off basis and not settings 1-5. i would need the proper astra pads and loom under the seats for it to work like that.

    hope this helps, craig.

That diagram is for the original Astra seats (with original switches & temperature controllers). I'd advised connecting up to the required ignition feeds at the fuse box if possible, as the seats will have a fairly heavy current draw if both are on together.

As my previous post, what car are these seats from? Is it an Astra?
You can add in the wiring fairly easily if you don't have it (just get the switch wiring, etc. from a scrapper).
I have had my seats retrimmed & have had heated seat pads added in, though not using standard switches or wiring.
All the work was done by Audio Advice in Portadown, I'm sure they could do the wiring or you if you supply the required bits (switches/plugs/loom/etc.).
